Parish Registration

We are so glad you have decided to make St. Procopius your home parish. Please fill out and submit the Parish Registration Form to the parish office. If you have an e-mail address, please include it on the registration form. When here on Sunday for Mass, please take the time to introduce yourself to the priest letting him know that you are a new parishioner. We want to get to know you.

If you move from the parish, change address, phone number or e-mail address, please let us know so that we can update your information in our parish records.

Why is it so important that you register in a parish? Isn’t it good enough that we go to mass? Why should you bother to use envelopes?
Registration is the official way that you join a parish community. Many people think that because they attend a particular parish, they automatically belong. At times, young adults who have moved away for years think that they are still signed up under their parents registration. Membership requires signing up, formally enrolling yourself in a parish. Registration is a commitment to a community, a way to be included in the religious, social, and ministerial activities of your parish. Your registration affects the parish in many ways. Census numbers can determine how many priests are assigned to a church, what benefits and obligations the community has to the diocese, and how masses, Confessions and devotions are planned and scheduled.

Registration shows that you belong. It is also necessary for certain benefits, like scheduling Sacraments, obtaining sponsor certificates, and getting donation statements for tax purposes. Registering in your parish is a statement of faith and confidence in the life and work of the parish. Our parish produces and mails 800 envelopes to member households, costing about 50 cents to mail to each household. On average, the parish receives between 250-300 envelopes returned in the weekly collection. Using the envelope system is one way that a parish can verify your participation in weekly Mass should you request a sponsor certificate or other information from the parish. If you are receiving envelopes and do not wish to do so, please contact the office and we will remove you from the mailings. This will save the parish money on this expense. If you are receiving envelopes and are not using them, please consider having your name removed from the parish mailing. If you are not receiving envelopes and would like to, please contact the parish office to be put on the mailing list.

There are a couple of ways for you to register. You can fill out an online form or you can down load, print and fill out a form that you can mail, drop in the collection basket or scan and attach to and email that is sent back to Silvia Juarez at to the parish office.
